[Taxacom] How frequent should you collect for a good representation of insect fauna?

Dear members,

I am looking for a paper regarding sampling frequency (sampling window or
sample replication) in an insect faunistic survey.  I have collected insects
in my university for a year: with four different collecting methods at four
sites in every other week, and the data tells me that on average only about
30% of the insect species collected at a collecting are collected again at
the next collecting.  This means every other week you collect, about 70% is
new from the previous collecting.  The result is rather surprising to me as
I didn't expect that much.  I wonder if you know of any paper related
to this subject?  You ideas are also appreciated.
