 CURATORIAL PREPARATOR-PARASITOLOGY
 The Harold W. Manter Laboratory of Parasitology
 Division of Parasitology
 University of Nebraska State Museum
 University of Nebraska - Lincoln

Three year, National Science Foundation grant funded position. 
Successful applicant will be responsible for assisting with data 
management and data entry into the Harold W. Manter Laboratory (HWML) of 
Parasitology computer databases. Perform specimen care, specimen 
numbering, repair, and incorporation of new specimens into HWML 
collections. Inventory and apply bar-code labels to specimens in the 
ultra-low freezers of the newly created Parasite Genomic Research 
Facility (PGRF). Attend and contribute to local, regional, and national 
meetings and assist Curator with preparation of publications and other 
on-line materials. Perform other lab and collections based duties as 
assigned. Master's degree in biology with course-work or experience with 
parasite systematics, taxonomy, or ecology required. Knowledge of 
taxonomy of mammals their ectoparasitic arthropods, and parasitic 
helminths necessary.

PhD in biology preferred. Coursework in parasitology or acarology and 
systematics preferred. Experience with taxonomy, biological collection 
management, and computation preferred.  Excellent benefits including
