[Taxacom] Amborella fruit

Hi Maarten,
I assume you are referring to my question. Actually I wasn't asking
about the pollinators (of the flowers), but rather what kind of birds
probably eat the fruit and disperse the seeds. I was looking at members of
Order Psittaciformes as likely candidates, but it has been suggested to me
that fruit pigeons likely eat the Amborella fruit. But so far, I haven't
heard from anyone who has actually witnessed what eats the Amborella fruit
or found the seeds in fecal material or stomach contents. So the question
remains to be answered.
  -----Cheers,
           Ken Kinman
