There is a growing habit among Czech zoologists to name newly described
species after the Czech imaginary inventor, Jara da Cimrman.
Jara da Cimrman is a fictitious Czech genius who was created by Ladislav
Smoljak and Zdenek Sverak, who established the cult of Jara da Cimrman and
founded a theater totally devoted to the life and work of Jara da Cimrman.
This multifaceted genius, became an object of many studies and even BEN
(Botanical Electronic News) brought several new discoveries about the life
and work of Jara da Cimrman in its two April 1st issues:

Rhamphomyia cimrmanii Bartak in Biologia, Bratislava 61/5. is one of the
newly described species dedicated to this Czech genius.
As for the payment, it would be fair if the author got at least a free
ticket to the Theater of Jara da Cimrman in Prague.
