[Taxacom] brunneus - bruneus, etc.

   Although I am a zoologist, not a botanist, the forms bruneus and 
brunescens sound very strange to me.
I had no latin in the school, but I use to learn the spellings of all 
words in all languages, when I have seen
them written sufficiently  many times. I don´t exactly know whether 
bruneus or brunescens are widely used
in zoology, but most probably not.  So, use of double nn seems to be the 
only linguistically correct form.
