[Taxacom] smallest angiosperm

I am not sure if this question was asked before, but what is the
smallest angiosperm? By smallest, I mean specifically which has the
fewest mitotic cycles between germination and flower. I presume
there are numerous candidates; any little Mimulus/Lepuropetalum-like
thing that produces a pair of leaves and then a flower. But is there
anything that flowers from a cotyledon (I don't count Streptocarpus
or Monophyllaea)? I thought also something like Wolfiella might
count, but I presume there are many "budding" cycles after
germination and before any one of the little "thalli" flower.
