We are currently simply looking at a copy of the "Index to Organism 
Names (ION)" interface & data as already at Thomson BIOSIS.  The 
seemingly random output of just some of the possible titles,  with no 
author, no date, no source, is presumably all they are willing to 
provide to non-subscribers.

Once upon a time what you got from ION as output was all the Zoo Record 
volumes (within the computerised span of years) where the animal name 
appeared. With access to a print Zoo Rec one could easily check for free 
the usefulness of the mentions.

How I wish I could click on the button for Zoo Record access and get 
some citations, even if error-ridden!
