The National Herbarium of the Netherlands announces the International
Course on Economic Botany. The course will be held from 4-15 September
2006 at the National Herbarium of the Netherlands, Leiden University
branch (http://www.nationaalherbarium.nl). Prof. David J. Mabberley,
expert in plant taxonomy and ecology who has written 14 books and for
more than 200 publications, will teach the course. The target group are
graduate, undergraduate, and PhD students interested in broadening their
studies in using plant material (both living and preserved) and
published literature to gain a deeper understanding of economic plants.
