Errors = phantom names on the Internet

A final remark (hopefully) from me.

As Chris often points out: an author is not part of a scientific name.
Therefore  let us agree that the bogus name is Pollenia pseudobscura. Period.

If database managers still want to keep this name somewhere, somehow
(e.g  flag it in some way), would they kindly dissociate my name from it? I
have nothing to do with it. Above all, I am not the author of the name. My
paper unfortunately happened to be at the desk of Chris or someone in his
team when they, in a bad moment, inadvertently created the bogus name. The
name should therefore be entered in a database as follows:

Pollenia pseudobscura: Thompson and his team, late1980-ies [bogus name for
non-existent taxon, caused by error in data entry; falsely attributed to
Rognes (1985) in various databases].

If this is done it would be OK with me.
