Hello all;
We are working on the life-cycle and description of a helminth parasite
of the groove-billed ani and have collected several birds. We are placing
some of them here in Mexico in the national collection as voucher specimens,
but since we have several extra birds, I wanted to ask if there is a
recognized collection that would like a couple. The birds were collected
legally (valid permits), but the receiving collection would need to do all
of the paperwork (cites, importing vertebrates, whatever). If anyone knows
of a particular person that might be interested, please send me a contact
address (email preferred)--it is not an uncommon bird, but we do not want to
waste even one if there is a museum that would be interested in having it.
Thanks for letting me interrupt the discussions for this matter.
