Delta and other taxonomic databases: an inquiry

I have just a simple question, I have seen often Delta cited, if I am
correct I recall it runs only on PC's, Is that correct? There is anything
similar, or at least compatible, running on Mac's?
Does anybody knows?
I have a data base on the bryoflora of Albania (whose data have been used to
prepare a paper on Albanian bryoflora to be published in Cryptogamie),
originally made using FileMaker, which I am migrating to 4D, of course the
best would be to use a database format compatible with the one(s) most used
in taxonomy/floristics etc.
