Herbarium Cyberinfrastructre Workshop at Botany 2006

 

We are please to announce that there will be a workshop on Herbarium
Cyberinfrastructre to be held at the Botany 2006 Meetings in Chico, CA,
pending final approval of funding from NSF. 

 

The two-day workshop will be held on 29 and 30 July (Sat and Sun). 

 

Day One:  Digitally Imaging Herbaria

Discussion on requirements, standards and specifications, and best practices
for imaging specimens.

 

Day Two: Data Sharing.

Hands on workshop in a computer lab on the Chico State Campus on becoming a
GBIF provider and setting up a DiGIR portals.
