[Taxacom] Euro+Med Compositae online

Dear Taxacom list members,

The Euro+Med Plantbase project  (http://www.emplantbase.org/home.html) has just released the data of the Compositae family at http://ww2.bgbm.org/EuroPlusMed/query.asp. , with the only exception of the two large genera with many apomictic species Taraxacum and Pilosella, but including the majority of the hawkweeds (genus Hieracium s. str.).

The data now available for searching presently include c. 9000 accepted names (6458 of them species), c. 12500 synonyms and misapplied names, c. 7800 vernacular names and more than 41500 distribution records for Europe, the Mediterranean, Macaronesia (excl. Cabo Verde Islands) and the Caucasus.
