We've been averaging over ten new species (fish) per *hour* on deep coral
reefs.  If only we had the funding to spend more than a few hours/year down
there...

As for fish in general, I think it's been something like 200/year on
average.  I'll look up the exact numbers when I get to work
tomorrow....err....later today.
