Before I get additional lectures on the reason why Linnaeus's name is
sometimes rendered as Linné let me please add to my original posting that I
am aware of his history and the reason for the name change.

My question is simply "how is his name treated by authors in various
fields?"

The input to date has been, as expected, varied and interesting.
