It wasn't published... apparently ... according to Jerry D. Harris, Director
of Paleontology, Dixie State College, on Dinosaur list, 11 Feb 2005.

What has been is the item mentioned by Karl Magnacca (here in full, sourced
from ISI web of science, no abstract):

Spamer, Earle E. 1999: Know thyself: Responsible science and the lectotype of
Homo sapiens Linnaeus, 1758. Proceedings of the Academy of Natural Sciences of
Philadelphia 149: 109-114.

I don't know what he said back then. Hopefully someone has access & can tell
us all. Also have a look in the Taxacom archives at Gary Rosenberg's comments
of 5 Jan 1996, and the one of his I alluded to earlier today of 16 Jun 2004
with the point on varieties and the code.
