After looking at a couple of the returns from the first search, apparently
they're all duplicates of a Wikipedia article.  That was apparently
derived from this article:

which includes interviews with people talking about it.  Another reference
mentioned an article in the Proceedings of the Academy of Natural Sciences
in 1999, 29:109-114.

Unfortunately, I can only access it back to 2001.  In any case, I've
already spent way too much time goofing off on this...
