An easy way to show general distribution maps on the Web is to use
Google Maps.
The link below shows an example of using Google Maps to display specimen
distributions. This uses just a small set of records. Most of the
taxa only have one collection but if you select Melampsora you
will get several hits. Selecting by country uses different pin colors
to represent different genera.
