Dr. Guanghua Zhu

Dear Colleagues,

Although it will probably not be practical for you to attend, I nevertheless
wanted you to know that we shall be holding a memorial for our colleague
Guanghua Zhu at the Spink Pavilion here at the Missouri Botanical Garden at
10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 17, and you would be most welcome if you
should be able to come.  It will be followed by a reception, hosted by Pat
and me, at our residence; and if the weather is good, the thought is that
you might wish to walk there by way of the Chinese Garden.  It will be a
good time to express our condolences to Guanghua's widow, Yuxing Feng.

I would also like to announce that we are establishing a scholarship fund
for their son, Yifu Zhu, who will be five years old on December 5, and if
you would like to contribute to this fund, please send your contribution to
Michael Olson, Controller's Office, Missouri Botanical Garden, P.O. Box 299,
Saint Louis, MO 63166-0299, U.S.A.  The Garden will hold the money for a
time and then turn it over to Yuxing.  I must tell you that your
contribution to this fund would not be tax deductible, but will be very much
appreciated.  Checks should be made payable to the Missouri Botanical
Garden.
