The reaction by the scientific community should be the same regardless of
which stories are told: we continue to witness the failure of our public
school systems to teach the principles that demarcate science from
non-science as ways of understanding, such that the super natural would
never even be entertained in any science classroom. Science teachers
should instead ask their students how they would go about testing their
favorite creation scenario.
