Indeed; if I'm reading the abstract correctly, it would require
independent evolution of all appendages except the first in the
Chelicerata and Crustacea/Trilobita/Insecta lineages.  Possible, but
sounds like kind of a stretch.

This article is not available online (Taylor & Francis; the whole issue
is missing from Ingenta); it's not even listed in the table of contents.
There's a page on changes to the journal, then an article starting on
page 21.  Was it possibly withdrawn?
