Yes, you are right, Dr Ceska. All plants and animals in Japan except micro-
organism has their standard vernacular names. Surprisingly during oral
presentation in annual meeting of Japanese Society of Plant Systematics,
species are usually mentioned by vernacular (Japanese) names!
