Being taxonomists either following ICBN (Botanists) or ICZN (Zoologists), we
should specify whether we are talking about Botanical Code or Zoological
Code. In Botany we never transfer a species from a genus to a subgenus,
although we may create a subgenus within a genus, when additional type
subgenus (autonym) will be created automatically. In any case the species
will belong to any one subgenus, but ultimately also to the genus from which
it will derive its generic name.
