Dear Colleagues,

The Plant Virus Biodiversity and Ecology (PVBE) group is re-opening a
position for a post-doctoral scientist to be hosted at Oklahoma State
University, and to be filled as soon as possible.

We are looking for an open-minded scientist with experience in ecology
and/or evolutionary biology and/or systematics, and who is able to think
creatively. Experience with molecular techniques is desirable but not
required; however the willingness to learn such techniques is required. The bulk of the lab work will be done by others on the team.
We are especially be interested in candidates with strong teamwork skills
who are also able to work independently.

The results of research in this emerging field have a great potential to
transform our understanding of plant evolution and plant ecology ? thus,
the implications of the project are immense. See http://opbs.okstate.edu/virevol/homepvbe.html for a description of the project (including a list of potential research
questions the applicant can tackle) and http://opbs.okstate.edu/virevol/JobPVBE.html for a job description. We are happy to consider international as well as
domestic applicants.

To apply, please send a letter of interest (including why you consider
your interests to be relevant to PVBE's goals), a curriculum vitae, and contact information for at least three referees, preferably by
email, to me at carex at okstate.edu.

Sincerely,

Michael W. Palmer
