In April 2005 the American Museum of Natural History will host an
interdisciplinary forum for scientists and conservation practitioners to
highlight recent successful initiatives in freshwater conservation, and
to discuss how and where cutting-edge ideas and tools can be
implemented. The symposium will showcase projects that not only
integrate scientific fields, but also link science with other disciplines,
to generate a fertile landscape for discussing the way forward in
freshwater conservation.
CALL FOR POSTERS! Case studies are encouraged. Abstract
submission guidelines available at

the American Museum's Center for Biodiversity and Conservation
(CBC), in collaboration with the World Wildlife Fund, U.S. Fish &
Wildlife Service, and National Park Service. Major funding is provided

Geographic Society, the American Society of Ichthyologists and
