Dear taxacomers,
I'm looking for specimens of melanic and intermediate adult forms of
Araschnia levana (Lepidoptera: Nymphalidae), that develop when the
chrysalises are subjected to thermal shock.
Unfortunately this species, as you may know, has currently become extinct
in Italy.
Has anyone got any collection specimens? Is it possible to have any?
Alternatively, I may be interested in chrysalises.
I will obviously be happy to pay for any kind of expenses.
Thank you very much for any kind of help.
Best regards,
Gianluca Polgar
