Will Ebola cause great ape extinctions?

Dear All,
      I think most people assume that habitat loss and poachers are the major threat to African great apes, but the realization has grown in the past few years that disease (specifically the Ebola virus) could actually finish them off (especially the gorillas).  It sounds like a vaccine might be their best hope, but I would think that vaccinating these gorillas (and chimps) would be a logistical nightmare.
