Inference

I mentioned a bit back that inference was logically unjustifiable but is the
basis of science. It that the problem here? That inferences are not
deductions?

Please show me how the fossils are empirical evidence of a center of
origin and that I am wrong to assert that the distribution of fossils
are simply the distribution of fossils.
