The Singapore Botanic Gardens Research Fellowships
Annually, the Singapore Botanic Gardens (SBG) will award up to four
Singapore Botanic Gardens Fellowships to encourage taxonomic research on
the region's flora that will lead to publications of international standard.
The SBG Fellowships (S$ 4500) will enable researchers to stay in Singapore
for 4 to 5 weeks. Shorter Fellowships (S$2500) for a 2- to 3-week visit
will be favourably considered.
Applications are open to botanists who are already working on the region's
flora. Applicants should hold or have held a faculty or research position
at an accredited institution. Priority will be given to projects that can
be completed during the Fellowship period and that make use of the SBG
Herbarium collection. ASEAN scientists are encouraged to apply.
Applications should consist of a curriculum vitae, a two-page research
proposal and the names of two referees. Applications will be considered
twice a year in June and December.
Please address all letters of interest and application to: The Director,
Singapore Botanic Gardens (Research Fellowships), The Singapore Botanic
Gardens, 1 Cluny Road, Singapore 259569.
