Last year, Adolf, the Global Biodiversity Information Facility
commissioned a report on just such programs for all kinds of natural
history collections.
This report on digitization software can be found on the GBIF CIRCA site
as two downloadable pdf files: at
http://circa.gbif.net/Public/irc/gbif/digit/library?l=/digitization_coll
ections&vm=detailed&sb=Title
It covers a wide range of software from the big commercial products to
some of the small in-house developments for specific groups.

Karen W.

Subject: Herbarium computer programs

I wonder, can somebody direct me to a review of computer programs for
accessioning herbarium specimens (preferably vascular plants)?

Otherwise, can you write me what program you are using with short
description of it (available from, price, advantages and disadvantages).

Please, use my e-mail address, do not spam the TAXACOM.

Thanks,

Adolf
