      Oooppps, sorry for the typo.  I meant to type that "Bra{n}chiopoda" would be a good second choice.  Oh what a difference a single letter can make.
      Not much time today, but I just ran across another interesting potential connection between the ostracods and collembolans----the use of bioluminescence to attract mates.  Of course this is used by various other taxa as well, but it just adds to the other data and increases my determination to pursue the ostracod-collembolan hypothesis.  Very busy with other things, but will get back to this as soon as possible.
