BlankStuessy in Taxon (Feb, 2004) proposes transitional-combinational theory
of origin of angiosperms. He believes that it took 100 mya to develop three
characteristics of angiosperms: carpels, double fertilization and finally
flowers. Do we have enough record of this long transition?
