%DNA shared among groups

Dear TAXACOM members:  A colleague asked me a question about the % DNA
similarities between humans and other animals.  Being a botanist, I did not
quite know where to go to find this kind of information.  Does anyone know
of a few good references in which % similarity between human DNA sequences
and those of other animals is discussed?
