Having read the various TAXACOM threads concerning ITIS, GBIF, the Napier
Schema, etc., I can only suggest that as many as possible of you attend the
Taxonomic Databases Working Group (TDWG) Annual Meeting in Christchurch,
New Zealand, 11-18 October 2004.

http://www.tdwg.org/2004meet/TDWG_2004.htm

Following on from the creation of the TDWG "Taxonomic Names" subgroup, and
extensive discussion at the TDWG meeting in Portugal in October 2003, a
huge amount of work has been done. In October coming there will be a number
of open sessions over several days devoted to "Taxonomic Names" including
presentation of the Napier Schema.

If you would like to consider attending the meeting please pre-Register
following the procedures on the web site under "Registration". Pre-
Registering does not commit you to attending but helps us plan the meeting.

Regards,

Adrian
