I just scanned over the current edition of the ICZN as I know there is a
brief remark there re the type of Homo.   I thought I had it underlined -
but I guess not.   My recollection is that it is under an "example" and that
it says as a parenthetical remark ("even though there may not be a type for
the latter genus [Homo]").    If someone else here can find the exact quote,
and context, please post it.    My understanding is that there is no type.
