Several readers have communicated to me problems with the essay on First
Declension nouns ending in -e. I have rewritten this essay - please
disregard the first version. Note also some changes made in the essays on
'differt' and 'similis'. I hope these articles are now of better use than
before. I would like to especially thank Mark Garland of Gainesville,
Florida, for promptly sharing with me critical references for improving this
information, and Bill Buck for bryological generic names ending in -e.
