Research Zoologist

The Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History seeks a zoologist to
conduct an integrative, collections-based research program in invertebrate
systematics exclusive of insects and chelicerates.  The successful candidate
is expected to utilize modern methods (e.g., phylogenetics, studies of fine
structure, karyology, molecular techniques, or development) in pursuing a
research focus in one or more of systematics, morphology, evolution,
biogeography, and conservation. Frequent publication in peer-reviewed
journals in specialty area would be expected as would curation of the
collections in the specialty area, and participation in the scientific
community in a manner commensurate with emerging leadership in chosen
field.

Permanent, full-time, GS-410-12/13; US citizenship required.  Salary range:
$58,070-$89,774 per annum, commensurate with experience.  Completed
