Professor with special duties at the Botanical Museum and Library, Copenhagen

The Botanical Museum and Library, University of Copenhagen (http://www.nathimus.ku.dk/bot/botmus.htm), invites applications for a 5-year position as full professor with special duties. After 5 years the appointment is continued at least at the level of associate professorship.

Applicants must document significant research in modern systematics and phylogeny (including molecular systematics) of vascular plants or bryophytes at the highest international level and is expected to hold a strong track record in fields where classical and modern methods interact. The special duties are to assist and encourage interaction between classical and modern methods in the scientific work of other academic staff members of the Museum.

The position is open to appointment from January 1, 2004, or as soon after as possible. The application, marked 216-3, must be formally addressed to the Rector of the University of Copenhagen. The original application (with appendices but without the selected papers) must be sent to the Faculty of Science, Øster Voldgade 3, DK-1350 Copenhagen K. 3 copies of the application including the selected papers must be sent to the Botanical Museum and Library, Gothersgade 130, 1123 Copenhagen K.
