The Cornell University Insect Collection website announces a new
address: http://www.entomology.cornell.edu/CUIC.
The website supports databases to type holdings (both holotypes
and paratypes), and taxonomic holdings. The latter includes
complete taxon lists for Lepidoptera, as well as selected
family-level taxa (Acrididae, Tabanidae, Scarabaeidae,
Anthribidae) and in-progress taxon lists of various other
families.
The intent of both databases is to make information on our
holdings available to the scientific public, thereby
facilitating specimen loans.
Should you need further information on any taxon in our
collection, please email the curator (Jim
Liebherr--JKL5 at cornell.edu) or collection manager (Rick
Hoebeke--ERH2 at cornell.edu).
