Dear Taxacomers,
Drs. Ronald Madge, Al Newton and myself have recently published a
bibliographic taxonomic catalog of the beetle subfamily Nicrophorinae
(Silphidae, a.k.a. carrion beetles, burying beetles) It is a 304 pg book
available for free download at the following URL:

Issue 65
Zootaxa is a relatively new journal that specializes in rapid, low-cost
publication of zoological taxonomic research. I was quite impressed with
their particularly fast processing of this large manuscript.
The ms was submitted for publication June 25th
Reviewers comments were received and addressed and the final draft returned
to Zootaxa on July 30th.
Accepted for publication on August 1st
Published on August 29th.
We'd also like to take this opportunity to thank all those who helped in any
way with this research!
Yours,
Derek Sikes
