As Martin Spies points out, it is important to acknowledge that the ICZN is
meant as a tool to promote stability in nomenclature. Unfortunately, Bradley
(1905) was published shortly after the turn of the 19th century, and his E.
unicolor thus cannot be considered a "nomen oblitum" as defined by ICZN
23.9.2.

Yet a rigid application of the Code may in some cases cause unnecessary
confusion, and the Principle of Priority should not be followed blindly.
While Evaniella unicolor Bradley, 1905 seems to be available, any particular
case should be judged on its own merits, and Reversal of precedence may
sometimes find good arguments.
