Actually, just to elaborate a bit on said fide, I found no reference to the
use of the "ex" authorship qualifier in the 4th edition of the ICZN Code (at
least not in Chapter 11 -- although Recommendation 51E does address the "in"
qualifier). My source on the zoological usage perhaps sould have been
expressed as "ichthyological usage", as I got it from Bill Eschmeyer's
Catalog of Fishes, Vol. 3 (Bill is a "Code Warrior" if ever there was one).
I don't have a copy handy right now (it's in my office), but if anyone is
interested, I'll transcribe the relevant passages.
