More importantly, such work should be acknowledged and rewarded by their
institutions.  My impression is that when administrators make tenure and
promotion decisions, printed pages count for all and web pages count for
little.  One can understand that, when time is a limiting resource, many
would not want to invest it in an activity that "doesn't count."
