NATURE to save taxonomy!

Well, it might be a kind of wake-up call, with the message being that if we taxonomists don't have our house in order -- with regard to the potential users of our product -- an order will be imposed by some outside entity.
The spectre of some external body being able to say to me, in effect, Taxonomist Roth, even though you have complied with all the rules of your discipline and your ICZN, your species doesn't count because you did not perform our Registration Protocol 623 gives me the big chill.
