An example of nested distributions is found with tracks that do not repeat
every locality, but form the same sequence of track links within a larger
pattern so they 'nest' within the larger pattern. Another form of 'nesting'
occurs with tracks that form concentric rings. An example of the latter is
illustrated in Craw et al (1999).
