Assistant Curator - Vascular Plants
Starting salary range £14,562 -£19,817 p.a.

The Natural History Museum, London invites applications to join the team
managing the collections of the Department of Botany . Main
responsibilities will relate to the 3.5 million specimen flowering plant
collections but there will be curatorial duties throughout the herbaria.
Duties will include the conservation and maintenance of the collections,
entering collections information onto databases, assisting scientific
visitors to the flowering plant collections and supporting consultancy work.
A degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience is essential as is
computer
literacy and a genuine interest in flowering plants.
A diploma or postgraduate qualification in museum studies along with
collections
management experience and an interest in information handling and processing
would be advantageous.
The starting salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
