A filtering question, not taxonomy

Mary,
I don't have a definitive answer to your question, but can certainly
sympathize and can offer a little information. There especially seems to be
a lot of spam coming out of Korea, and asking to "get removed" from the
lists of such people is likely to be ignored or even increase the level of
spam.
On my hotmail account, I have successfully blocked e-mail from some of
the most persistent of these sites, but more of them are popping up all the
time. I just concentrate on blocking those sending large e-mails (over
10K), and just delete the little ones myself. They are less annoying that
getting a virus, but annoying nevertheless.
This is such a problem that there is at least one company that
specializes in blocking e-mail from entire countries (like Korea where so
much spam is coming from), but they obviously charge a fee to do this, such
as: http://www.spamcop.or.kr However, I suppose a good computer programmer
would know how to do the same thing if they knew the series of IP addresses
to block. Hope this helps.
---- Good luck,
Ken
