Where is Cape Thompson, AK?

        Cape Thompson itself, and the Chariot site, are two different
places--and much of the collecting at "Cape Thompson" was actually carried
out at the Chariot site, which is Ogotoruk Creek, between the Telavirak
Hills and Crowbill Point. The lat/long coords for the Chariot site
buildings at Ogotoruk Creek are: 68 degrees 06' N, 165 degrees 46' W.

        I spent 12 days there in 1977, happily collecting butterflies
in warm sunshine (_not_ the usual summer weather there!).
