systematics and evolution, and is expected to complement current projects,
including: (1) morphological and molecular evolution within and among clades
of plant and insect parasitic nematodes; (2) identifying alternative genes
for phylogenetic analysis and taxonomic identification; (3) exploring new
technologies for rapidly surveying and identifying specific nematodes; (4)
coevolution between parasitic nematodes, their symbionts, and hosts.

The successful applicant must have a strong background in molecular
evolution or genetics with experience in molecular methods. Familiarity
with computational tools, programming, and phylogenetic systematics are
desirable. Duties may include: optimization/troubleshooting of
PCR/cloning/sequencing reactions and serological probes, field isolation,
lab maintenance & experimental manipulation of parasitic nematodes.

The appointment is for one year with additional funding possible.
Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, statement of research interests
