Chinese place name in Vietnamese

Dear Vietnamese Speaking Colleagues,
There is a place name "Trung Quoc" (o with an ') listed in "Red data
book of Vietnam Volume 2. Plants. Hanoi, Science and Technics Publishing
House (NXB), 1996", which is supposed to be in Hainan Island China
(daoHai Nam). How can I find out what Trung Quoc is equivalent to in
Hainan?
The Alexandria Digital Library Gazetteer Server does not recognize this
name; perhaps because it is Chinese in Vietnamese...
